Hi! My name is Kristen and I am excited to start this new chapter of my life as YOUR Disney vacation planner! While Disney is my speciality, I can also help plan your next girls getaway, romantic weekend, family cruise, or even a business trip.
As a child, my parents would take the family on various vacations throughout the world each summer. Although I don't have any specific memories of my time at Disney, I do remember that I loved it and wanted to go back when I became an "adult." When my daughter was born, I finally got that chance! At the tender age of 2 , my daughter experienced her first Disney World trip during the month of December. (I was 7.5 months pregnant with my son, so anything my daughter wanted to do at the park was right up my alley. Plus, I had the bonus of taking a nap when she did!) Many people wonder why you would take kids to Disney at such a young age... "they won't remember it" is usually their reasoning. But I didn't do it for my daughter... I did it for ME! My FAVORITE memories are from the first visits for each of my kids.
My daughter's first visit was truly the most magical experience ever! We went to the Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party special ticketed event at Magic Kingdom where my daughter was able to see Cinderella's carriage up close, meet all of the princesses and the Fairy Godmother, watch "snow" fall on Main Street and ride all of the rides as many times as she wanted! My daughter was so in awe of everything, and meeting the "real princesses" made it all worthwhile! We had bought her a princess wand that night and when we took her to Epcot the next day, she thought SHE was making the fountains "dance" by waving her magic wand!
The following year was my son's first visit (aside from when I was pregnant with him). Again, we chose to go in December because we had found that the crowds were smaller and the weather was cooler. At 10 months old, my son was walking/racing all over the place, and he knew who all of the princesses were from having an older sister! Again, we went to Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, and it was just as magical as the first time! Since we had not done character meals during our first trip (because we didn't know how my daughter would react to the characters) we decided to try a few this time around. My husband and I still laugh at the picture of my daughter, Snow White, and my son- with two fists full of bacon! He was a "ladies man" from the start, but he sure did love his bacon! Again, my son might have been too young to remember that experience, but those memories will live in my heart forever!
After those two trips, my husband and I decided we wanted to go to Disney every year, or every other year, depending on what worked with our schedules. We have attended the Not So Scary Halloween Party, Mickey's Very Merry Christmas, the Food & Wine Festival, made several trips during the Mardi Gras holidays, and even took both of our kids to Disney for each of their 13th birthdays. (My son chose a Disney trip over his 7th grade class trip to Boston!) We are now members of the Disney Vacation Club (DVC), along with my parents, my sister and her family of five. We have done Disney World as a group of 11, and we have done Disney as a group of just 2 (my husband & I).
When I told my family that I was going to become a Disney travel agent, they all agreed that it was "about time" since I am such a Disney fanatic! (My 16 year old daughter still aspires to be a Disney Princess when she gets older!) I will admit that I am a Type A person and my friends like to call me "mom" as I am the one who usually plans our girls night out and makes sure everyone knows what's going on with our kids school and sports schedules. I LOVE being organized, helping others, and seeing projects come to fruition.
Please give me a call, or drop me an email, and let me take the hassle out of planning your upcoming trip! I love doing anything Disney-related and will make sure that your Disney vacations are as magical and full of memories as mine have been!
