Character Dining Opportunities Still Available at Walt Disney World

As of March 4, 2021

Though character dining at Walt Disney World has changed amid COVID-19, you still have the ability to see your favorite characters! Slowly but surely, more dining restaurants are opening with a different dining experience for seeing you and your little ones favorite characters. Buffets are now family-style. And instead of characters coming to your table for individual opportunities, you can see your favorite characters interacting around the restaurant from a distance.

As the mom with kids who LOVE interacting with the characters, this was quite the shock. But now? They love it! We're all in this together of navigating the new park experiences, and this shouldn't be a "make-or-break" thing for your vacation decision-making but there's still plenty of magic to be had!

Check out the list below of restaurants are participating in character dining throughout the resort!

Garden Grill, Epcot

At Garden Grill in EPCOT, you can hang with Mickey and friends and grab socially distanced selfies and waves. The restaurant slowly rotates as you go through Living With the Land at EPCOT. At Garden Grill Restaurant, Guests of all ages are invited to imbibe visuals from Living with the Land—such scenes as a rainforest, farmhouse, thunderstorm, sandstorm and prairie—while indulging in an all-you-care-to-enjoy, family-style meal.

Garden Grill is open for lunch and dinner.

Topolino's Terrace, Disney's Riviera Resort

Topolino's Terrace is Disney's newest character dining restaurant at Disney's Riviera Resort. This is a GORGEOUS option with sweeping rooftop views of the parks and resorts area. The character dining at Topolino's Terrace is currently modified as is their menu, but you can still see your favorites for socially distanced appearance with artists costumes for BREAKFAST only.
