Fall 2021 will truly be a great time to visit the Most Magical Place on Earth - especially with Disney's 50th Anniversary Celebration right around the corner!
The world's most magical celebration begins October 1 in honor of Walt Disney World Resort's 50th anniversary! Can you believe it has (almost!) been 50 years since Walt Disney World opened up on October 1, 1971? Time sure flies when you're having fun ;)
And we all know, when Disney does something, they do it BIG. So this year, there's plenty of fun in store.
It’s an event five decades in the making! The celebratory event kicks off on October 1 and run through March 2023 - that's for 18 months! and will bring something new to all four resort theme parks and beyond. As part of the celebration...
Cinderella Castle at Magic Kingdom Park will add to its royal makeover from last year! The castle will feature golden bunting and a 50th anniversary crest as part of its festive new look + pixie dust at night!
Tree of Life will come to life with magical fireflies
Remy's Ratatouille Adventure opens in Epcot!

ENTERTAINMENT + SHOWS
Magic Kingdom: New fireworks show called Disney Enchantment with the latest tech in pyrotechnics, lighting, fireworks, PLUS an enhanced mapping projection that will show images not only on Cinderella Castle, but Main Street USA as well
EPCOT: New nighttime show called Disney Harmonious (was already coming to EPCOT, but replaced with Epcot Forever in meantime)
ANIMAL KINGDOM: New daytime show called Disney KiteTales (RIP Rivers of Light)
HOLLYWOOD STUDIOS: Projection lighting on Hollywood Tower of Terror
Disney KiteTails / 50th Anniversary
COSTUMES + CHARACTERS.
Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Pluto, Chip & Dale will be rockin' new costumes and a new color called "EARidiscent" purple and teal. These 8 pals will be the star of the shows for the 50th anniversary celebration, but Disney may have some other surprises in store - we shall see!

On October 1, early theme park entry for Disney Resort hotel guests and guests of other select hotels is BACK!
This gives you the first chance to enjoy select attractions at EVERY theme park, EVERY day. You will also be among the first each day to see the dazzling decorations and EARidescent excitement. Valid ticket or pass and theme park reservation for the same park on the same date for early theme park entry is necessary.
BONUS: Guests staying at one Disney's Deluxe or Deluxe Villa Disney Resort hotels will also be able to enjoy extended evening hours on select nights in select theme parks. Extended evening hours will begin in early October with specific dates and parks to be shared at a later time.

2022 Walt Disney World Vacations Are Now Available for Booking
I know how crazy it sounds to begin thinking about booking a trip to Walt Disney World in 2022, but for those looking to lock in a date for next year, your time is now - especially with the 50th anniversary hubbub!
Only $200 is needed to book your trip, and final payment is not due until 30 days before you arrive. Disney has been and continues to be flexible with changes and cancellations. And don't forget, (modified) park hopping is back!
