What a month! “The World’s Most Magical Celebration” at Walt Disney World Resort is in full swing, as they kicked off the 50th anniversary festivities on Oct. 1 with all-new experiences and countless magical moments. Now, the Disney team launched another major milestone: the Disney Genie! The Disney Genie launched for all guests at Walt Disney World on October 19 in the My Disney Experience app. The complimentary service offers new features that let guests create their BEST Disney day!
These features include:
Personalized itinerary creator to enhance the already planned activities/dining that a Magical Memory Maker will take care of for you
Maps out an entire day inspired by the things guests tell their team that they love
Disney Genie updates your itinerary throughout the day during your vacation. You can "stay spontaneous" or "go with the flow" depending on your mood that day! We all know how quickly things can change while you're at the parks, from toddler meltdowns to nap time; the Disney Genie will account for your mood and update as the day continues!
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Behind the scenes, the app is capable of magically evaluating thousands of possible itineraries in seconds. The app puts YOU at the center of the experience by prioritizing ways to:
Reduce time in lines while keeping your top picks
Pace the day with experiences you will enjoy
Build around existing plans like Dining reservations and Park Hopper preferences
With this launch, Disney has also introduced the LIGHTNING LANE!
Available for purchase through the Disney Genie+ add-on at more than 40 attractions – or individually, “a la carte” at some of the most highly demanded attractions – the Lightning Lane entrance can save you time waiting in line.

The difference between Genie+ & Lightning Lanes?👇
Lightning Lanes will be taking the place of the retired Fastpass, and are the entrance for those who purchased Genie+ or those who purchased individual attraction line skip access.
And on top of all of this, it's Disney's 50th ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION! For those that haven't booked in a while, don't forget: all you need to book your Disney vacation is a $200 deposit! Payment is due in full 30 days prior to your arrival. For those concerned about traveling as we are still experiencing the effects of COVID-19, cancellations made 30 days or more prior to your arrival will be refunded. Cancellations made 29 to 2 days prior to your arrival, a cancellation fee of $200 will be charged (aka your deposit) - but rest will be returned to you.
